Wiring succulents with a double leg mount

If you plan to wire and tape the succulent leave a stem.

Peel away the succulent to get a sturdy stem

Press a wire through the stem

Bend the wire legs down

Twist the wire around the stem and the longer wire leg.

Cover the stem and wire with florist tape

Cover the stem and wire with florist tape (gutta-percha tape)

And secure with the heat of your fingers

The wax of the tape melts to secure with the heat of your fingers. For my design I also used a decorative wire (which I did not cover with tape. Bend any sharp ends away for safety.
