Twig Zipper

I wanted my Zipper to be "edgy" rather than "peaceful", so using bamboo or reeds or willow would not be appropriate.

Zipper rose twigs

Dried rose stems with rather sharp and spiky thorns make up the Zipper. I drilled two tiny holes in each twig to thread.

Weaving my Zipper

I followed a zigzag pattern that split open and drape into the "fabric" part of the design

WAFA Flower Show Zipper

The secret to creating a neat Zipper is using twigs that are approximately the same width and length with little to no bend in the stems.
