Messy summer floral nest
Twirl a large spiral cage from flat wire (see the Tutorial below) and rip a few flax or grass blades (see the Tutorial below)
Start to cover the wire with ripped grass.
Weave the grass in and out of the wire frame
Keep adding blades of grass...
When the wire spiral is almost covered, wire in a few glass test tubes for the fresh flower material.
Add a few dried hydrangea blossoms and continue to weave grass over the frame
Create more depth by looping grass around the frame
Fill the test tubes with water (see Tutorial below) and add the passion fruit vine
Add the rosary vine, more ripped grass and hydrangea flowers
The cage spirals to form a basket that wrap around the plump ripe berries (or you can slip in a flower) to hang as connections between the twigs.
I do not believe in arranging flowers without a water source of some kind. I want my flowers to remain as beautiful for as long as possible and I often get quite creative to...
This was the fourth design I did in my "I found it this way" floral art demonstration
