Making the Butterfly Net

Start weaving the butterfly net.

Choose a long willow stem that fork into two thinner stems. Weave the two thinner stems into a wreath to create a loop for the net.

Build up the net by weaving in Hazel twigs.

Weave a few thinner hazel branches around the willow net to soften the lines and secure the structure.

Add twigs to the handle of the butterfly net.

Weave twigs down the handle of the net

Cut a disk out of bridal net.

Cut a large round disk of bridal net

Gather the net and slip it into the wreath.

and place it into the wreath portion of the butterfly net

Gather the net to fit inside the wreath

Ruffle the net to fit the wreath.

Pin and glue the net into the wreath.

Pin and glue the net into place

Butterfly net ready to design with.

Decorate the butterfly net with flowers, foliage

Glue Chrysanthemum to the palm butterfly for wings.

and a few Chrysanthemum petal and palm leaf butterflies

Fill the flower girl butterfly net with Chrysanthemum petals.

Fill the net with petals to use as confetti or to scatter down the aisle.
