Wire apples and seal the insertion point

Wired apples

Take a wire (at least 22 gauge or thicker) and pierce from one side of the apple to the other to create a workable stem. A drop of Oasis floral adhesive will seal the insertion point and prevent juice from leaking out of the fruit and keep the fruit from browning and deteriorating. This will also set the wire into place. Fold the wire and twist the two wire ends together carefully not to cut into the apple. Tape the wire with florist tape.
