Moss Camouflage

Sometimes you need a pot or vase to look more natural or completely disappear in a design. The easiest way is to cover it with moss or natural growth medium.

Cover the container with moss or growth medium.

Cover the container with moss or growth medium. If you are covering play-dough or papier mache that is sticky you can just press the medium in. You can also colour the dough with food colouring or mix the potting soil into the dough.

Cover the pot with moss or growth medium

Take a handful of growth medium. Wrap it around the pot and secure with copper wire.

Secure the growth medium with copper wire.

Keep adding growth medium and wrapping it with wire until the container is covered.

You use quite a bit of wire to cover the pot. When I need a lot of copper wire I just up-cycle a copper pot scrubber. It really is great wire to tie with and costs almost nothing! See the tutorial below
